This soup warmer is temperature controlled. It is designed to control the soup temperature at around 80 degrees C (+/- 10 degrees) when set at maximum setting. Allowing a temperature drop of 20 degrees C, the suop would arrave at the table at around 60 degrees C.After a short wait, an ideal drinkable temperature of around 30-50 degrees is acheived. Overheating of the water is protected by a safety thermostat which cuts out at 118 degrees C.
